She made her acting debut in the 2013 drama filmĀ Palo Alto. She gained recognition for her supporting role in theĀ HBOĀ drama seriesĀ The LeftoversĀ (2014–2017). Qualley featured in the filmsĀ The Nice Guys(2016),Ā Death NoteĀ (2017), andĀ Once Upon a Time in HollywoodĀ (2019), as well as the video gameĀ Death StrandingĀ (2019).
